New Instructions Continue To Fall

“2019 will be a challenging year for the market, with several events both at national and international levels. Internally, there will be elections for the national Parliament and Government, with all investors wanting to know the outcome. Internationally, events like the Brexit and the European elections reinforce the climate of uncertainty, making 2019 a year of holding. For the Portuguese agents this is starting to affect market activity, which appears to be less dynamic.”

Simon Rubinsohn

Senior Economist at RICS

“The latest survey results again paint a relatively subdued picture in terms of momnetum behind housing marekt activity. It remains to be seen whether trends will strengthen as we move into 2019, but, with the economic outlook still solid and measures of consumer confidence generally upbeat, the overall backdrop is still favourable.”
