It is a joint initiative of Ci - Confidencial Imobiliário and RICS - Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Internationally distributed through a monthly bilingual report, it is a reference used by entities such as the IMF and the World Economic Forum to monitor trends in the national market.

Being used for forecasting it is often the first source who identifies changes in the market. Because of its credibility, it is used by the Bank of England to make interest rate decisions, namely by the Monetary Policy Committee.
